Please keep in mind that these tools depend on your dog's temperament, needs, and age. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me and we can discuss which training tools and techniques will work for you and your pup.
Long lines are useful when practicing recall and off leash adventures. Provide the dog freedom to roam and easy to clean. This should be coupled with the Y-chest harness to ensure that the dog does not hurt themselves if they get caught on something.
An elevated dog bed can be used to practice stay and settle. They are also great when used as a place to go when guests come to the door or waiting for their breakfast & dinner.
Slip leads can be used for loose leash walking and heel. They are easy to put on and take off. When in use, you should ensure there is no tension on the leash. If the dog consistently pulls, feel free to contact me to schedule training.
Safety is important for you and your dog, especially when traveling in your vehicle. There are many different brands that serve the same purpose. Select a car harness that has been crash-tested.
This is another version of a slip lead that applies pressure around the neck evenly. This is similar to the function of the prong collar. When in use, you should ensure there is no tension on the leash. If the dog consistently pulls, feel free to contact me to schedule training.
A dog crate is highly recommended when housetraining puppies. You can utilize the crate as a space for your dog to settle when unsupervised. Select a crate that is 1.5 the length of your dog, without the tail.
